THE IDEA - Let me start again - 2 years ago I wanted to go to the USA and travel Route
66 but the plan went out of the window, so a friend said "Why see the world when you haven't seen your own
country!" - and like a smack with a hammer it hit me... the coastal roads of Ireland for cancer care. So along
with a friend from the club we've decided to take on the challenge.
THE CHARITIES - All money raised goes to our two charities of choice; the Irish Cancer Society

THE PLAN - to set out from Galway adn travel the next 3500 - 4000 km approx. around Ireland for roughly
3 weeks, this is a long time with some spectacular Irish scenery and YES it will be camping all the way!!
The trip means we will travel roughly 200km a day, as you can imagine taking into consideration the types and
condition of some of our country roads this is no easy task, especially over 3 weeks.
THE DATE - Set off from Galway 14.June 2008 and arrive back in Galway 05.July 2008
THE DETAILS - While details of the route are still in the preliminary stages, the final stage is
nearly finalized; It will involve our own club and hopefully help from as many other bike clubs as possible.
THE HISTORY- Biking, motorbikes and being a motorcyclist has played a huge role in my life for many years, we
have travelled extensively the length and breadth of the country, attending as many bike rallys as we can over the years,
and our bike club has been very successful since we formed in 2002.
We have formed many relationships and friendships with many clubs and club members and this gives me hope that they
will give us as much support as they possibly can. We plann to contact all clubs over the next few months and before
the next bike bible is out next year, to ask you for your help and support.
