In the recent World Cancer Congress, held in Shenzhen (in China), one of the experts commented on the shortage of painkillers and other drugs for cancer patients in developing nations. Dr John Seffrin, chief executive officer of the American Cancer Society said, “It’s shocking and shameful the number of people who suffer needlessly because of the lack of access to analgesics.”

At present, almost five billion people live in countries with limited or no access to analgesics. Even if available, most of the anti-cancer drugs are too expensive to be bought by the needy. The president of Livestrong, Doug Ulman, said cancer experts are working on plans to be implemented five countries of the world. These countries are Rwanda, Haiti, India, Malawi and Jordan. Some pharmaceutical companies will produce cancer drugs at lower prices for these countries. Doug Ulman said, “It’s all about proving that you can deliver that great care at a lower cost in a developing country….for a lot of these companies, it’s a new market.”

Livestrong is a foundation for cancer set up by Lance Armstrong. He is a cancer survivor and a champion cyclist. The American Cancer Society and Livestrong launched a joint report this week. The report was about the estimated total economic impact of premature death and disability from cancer all over the world. The cost is estimated to be $895 billion. It excludes the direct treatment costs.

In the past years, a lot of people suffered from High Blood Pressure and Heart Diseases. A lot of them blames those sudden death from heart diseases from the ranging fast food chains that now merging in all city. Not only can those who are in their adult years be exposed to heart diseases. Young people sometimes tend to forget that they have a heart to that can caught diseases or a high blood pressure.

The ranging heart diseases should be blame on the unhealthy eating habits of the people now days. Also, the food choices are getting lesser and most people are going for the fast foods.

Fast foods can cause heart diseases

It is not the fast food chain’s fault why some people can have High Blood Pressure and Heart Diseases. The only problem is the menu or the choices of food they are actually offering. Most of these fast food chains offers greasy fried food and salads and vegetables are out of their menus. Who would like to eat a broccoli in a fast food chain anyway? However, some fast food chain offers alternative healthy foods like salads and bake potatoes instead of the greasy French fries.

Your heart is what you eat

Your heart depends on what you eat and to make sure that you can avoid High Blood Pressure or any of those heart diseases make sure that you eat healthy. Healthy food will make your heart stronger and healthier. Do not just be tempted of the good tasty food. Healthy food can be as taste as well.
